It was a lovely warm evening on Wednesday Andy Kingston was stalking Carp feeding on mixers on the surface of Trusham Lake at Cofton.

Just as he was beginning to think the games up and the fish are more inteligent than us, he took a screeming bite on his ledger rod, Andy quickly reeled in his dog biscuit and grabbed the rod before the fish got its head in to the reeds. It took 15 minutes to tire this beautiful Mirror Carp before landing it for a photo shoot with me. I think it was worth all the ear ache for being late for tea.

This is Andy and Sue’s first time to cofton,  he planned to stop for a week and ended up staying for two.
