  • 17th-19th May - Basketry and Beyong Festival in Totnes


    The festival takes place in the inspiring setting of Dartington Estate in Totnes.

    The Basketry and Beyond festival weekend and supporting events will provide plenty of opportunities to be inspired and get active with the craft of basketry.

    The festival Weekend activities will be from the afternoon of Friday 17th May 2012 through to Sunday 19 May 2013.

    Spend the weekeend discovering the art and the craft of basketry and the many, many varied ways to make a basket and the uses of basketry techniques: from hopusing bees to catching crabs.
  • 24th & 25th May - Brixham Heritage Sailing Regetta


    The Brixham Herritage Sailing Regatta has its roots in the Sailing Trawler races that have been held in Torbay since the early 1800's in 1914, King George V presented the Perpetual Challenge Cup also kown as the 'King George V Cup', to be raced for by Brixham registered sailing trawlers over 40 tons. This was competed for annually from 1919 until 1939 when the war ended racing, it was re-started for almost 60 years.
  • 14th-16th June - Midsummer Motorhome & Caravan Eevent - Westpoint


    The midsummer motorhome and caravan event will be held at Westpoint Arena located in the heart of South West, only six miles from Exeter.

    This show will be a one stop shop for all your caravaning and motorhome needs. Both new and old caravans will be available and new gadgets and gizmos that you havn't seen anywhere else will be on sale.
  • June - Dawlish Arts Festival (dates to be confirmed)


  • 16th June - Cliff Richard at Powderham Castle


    Powderham Castle is thrilled to announce superstave rocker Cliff Richard will be Still Reelin' and A-Rocking at Powderham Castle on Sunday 16th June 2013 as part of his Midsummer Nights Tour.
  • 20th-23rd June - Shaldon Music Festival


    Shaldon's festival of classical music, which began in 1990, was the inspiration of Eileen Croxford Parkhouse, cellist wife of David Parkhouse, as a memorial concert to celebrate the life of her husband who was born in Teignmouth and lived latterly in Shaldon. David was a professor of Piano at the Royal College of Music. He and his wife founded member of the Music Group of London, performing both in England and Internationally over a period spanning four decades.

    The festival now is a great occasion for any classical or any music enthusiast and has a lovely atomsphere.
  • 21st-23rd June - Teignmouth Folk Festival

    Enjoy this fantastic folk festival in the beautiful town of Teignmouth, over three days this event promises to offer a brilliant line up and fun for all the family.
  • 30th June - Lemon Fest in Newton Abbot


    Lemonfest will be making its 4th appearence on the South Devon Muic scene and promises to be tter than ever before with around 1,500 revellers enjoying a top line up. The full 2013 line-up will be reveraled soon.

  • 19th July - Devon Coastal Run - Teignmouth


    The Annaul Devon Coastal Run takes place on the third weekend of July and takes in some 70 miles of Devons most picturesque and glorious scenery.

    Commencing at Haldon on the outskirts of Exeter entrants proceed along the side of River Exe through rolling countryside to Starcorss, Dawlish, Teignmouth, Trobay, Totnes and Buckfastleigh.
  • 20th-21st July - International Antiques and Collectors Fair - Westpoint

    If Antiques are you thing, then dont miss the New International Westpoint Antiques & Collectors Fair at Westpoint Arena.

    With upto 400 stands from all over the UK, offering an extensive range of Antiques & Collectables, the fair provides a great day out for people who love all things Antique. With dealers offering a huge selection from furniture to stamps to silver.

    With ample freee parking, a licenced restaurant, and catering vans, Westpoint provides a perfect venue to come and enjoy a day out!
  • 22nd-27th July - Teignmouth Carnival Week


    With live music, sakting comeptitions, it's a knockout challenges and fun and games for all the family.

  • 29th July - 4th August - Teignmouth Regetta


    If the closest you've ever got to sailing is a pedalo but the call of the sea is pulling you, then head down to South Devon. We've got regttas that clelbrate everything nautical and our strong maritime links, and one of the biggest and brightest of these is the Teignmough Regtta.

    If you want to know about life on the ocean waves, Teignmouth is the place to head for.
  • 2nd-4th August - Torbay Steam Fair


    Torbay Steam Fair is now one of the biggest events on the English Riviera events calendar and attratcs visitors from far and wide. Situated just outside Brixham on the main A3022 this 3 days event is a must for all the family.

  • 3rd August - Shaldon Water Carnival


    We've got carnivals, and we've got regattas but only in South Devon can you find a crazy, fun filled combination of the two and its a great attraction for the whole family. Shaldon Water Carnival is a ridiculously silly day of fun and revelry that's been going strong for 50 years. If you like all the excitement and colour of a carnival and love the water too, then why not head down to Shaldon and find out how we like mix things up?


  • 12th-18th August - Dawlish Carnival Week


    It may not be Rio, but we certainly know how to have fun at a carnival in Devon. Charmingly located on the South Devon coast, the pretty seaside resort of Dawlish is a family favourite that bursts into life every year with its week long Carnival. While you still get all the benfits and traditional fun and excitement of a West Country holiday desination, the Dawlish Carnival adds colour and excitement to any break.

    Carnival week in Dawlish is a seven day action packed event with a programme that'll ensure there's something for everyone to enjoy.
  • 19th-25th August - Shaldon Regetta


    Shaldon Regetta is one of the oldest reggatta's in the country and is hosted by the local community every year to encourage youngsters to parcipating in water based activites in a fun, competitive and safe enviroment. The festivities include lots of beach and water events over nine days in the month of August.

  • 22nd August - Dawlish Warren Spectacular Fireworks


    Come and enjoy Dawlish Warrens amazing firework display and take in the amazing atomsphere. Fun for all the family!
  • 24th August - Dawlish Air Show


    We dont just spend our time messing about on the water in South Devon. We've fot some big skies here to, and just occsionally we like to interrupt the bird song with a noisy and exciting Air Show. If you love watching the RAF doing what it does best then the Dawlish Air Show i a one-day spectacle involving some amazing displays of aeronautics that'll thrill the whole family.

    Eevery year up to 80,000 people make their way to this pretty seaside twon to enjoy the very best in air displays.
  • 29th-31st August - Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta


    A holiday in South Devon usally means ou'll never be to far from the sea. The area has a strong maritime heritage and its prot towns have a distinct West Country charm. With festivals and events related to the sea throughout the year and right across the South Devon coast, there's plenty to choose from when your deciding where to spend your time down here. If you're a salty seadog or just loe everything abougt sailing then the Dartmought Regatta is a great way to expirence a wide range of fun and exciting things to do on the water.

    Visit Dartmouth between these dates and soak up the atomspere that brings in a big croud. A combination of serious compettion sailing and fun on the water, there are also rowing event, exhibitions and even air displays by the legendary Red Arrows!
  • 15th-22nd September - Agatha Christie Festival - Torquay


    Each year, the English Riveriera transforms itself into the mjurder mystery captital of the country, with ladies and gents in their period finery immersing themselves in tea parties, theartre, dinners on steam trains and vintage bus tours. Why? For the annual Agatha Christie Festival in honour of the Queen of Crime, who was born in Torquay in 1890.

    The Festival is a fabulous occasion for fans from all over the world to congregate and celebrate Dame Agatha Christie's life and times. Round every corner there is a murder mystery: on the steam trains, in spooky country inns and in rambling seaside pubs. You'll also find competitions, book launches and other exclusive events. The official Agatha Christie Theatre Company perform their latest procution at ther Princess Theatre.
  • 20th - 22nd September - Abbfest in Ipplepen, Newton Abbot


    If you fancy discovering a world of fabulous food and drink on your holiday in South Devon, there are plenty of interesting  festivals and events throughout the year that'll feed your desire for delicious grub. One of the best is a special celebration of local food and drink - Abbfest - Which is held every September in the market town of Newton Abbot.

    With over 60 food, arts and cart stalls and a great range of Devon ales on offer, Abbfest lets you sample the extroardinary range of quality products that are made in the West Country. Here you can munch your way through tradtional Devon cuisine and some of the more unusaul modern takes on old recipes.     Visit two shows for the price of one: The Caravan and Mtorhom Show and The Static Caravan Show.

    See all the latest designs and types of caravans and motorhomes and talk to local dealers. You will see masses of accessories together with all that is new in gadgets and gizmos. If new is not for you, come and see loads of preloved caravan and motorhomes. 
  • 15th - 17th November - Teignmouth Jazz Festival


    Annaul jazz festival in and around the seaside resort of Teignmouth on the South Devon Coast, Various local and national artists feturing Tradtional, Latin, Blues, Funk, Modern, Cool, Swing, Be-bop, Comtemporary and New Orleans jazz. Held in venues around the picturesque twon, Workshops also available.
  • 23rd & 24th November 2013 - Brixham Christmas Market


    This years Brixham Christmas Market will be held in Scala Hall on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November from 10.00am - 4.00pm. The Scala Hall is ideally situated close to the main bus services, the central car park, coach drop off points and the main shopping area.

    Traders at the Christmas Market are asked to offer something different and unique to compliment what is already on offer in the wide range of shops within Brixham. There will be over 40 stalls available.
