We know that if you are a dog owner, going on holiday is difficult. Many hotels and campsites are not dog-friendly, plus kennels can be expensive and it may be hard to find a friend or relative who can look after your pet. If these are the problems you face every year, then you maybe interested to know that Cofton Holidays offer great dog friendly accommodation in Devon.

At Cofton Holidays, we cater especially for dogs and the surrounding area has a number of beaches, pubs and other attractions that are friendly to our canine friends. By holidaying with us, you can take away all the stress of finding accommodation for your pet.

Making your dog feel at home

At Cofton Holidays we have a choice of accommodation, all of which are dog-friendly. Whether you are camping, touring or staying in one of our holiday homes, we have excellent facilities on hand to make your dog’s stay as comfortable as possible.

If you stay in our Exe and Dart holiday homes, you will find that we provide your canine with a dog bowl, dog mat and a blanket. For all our guests there is a dog walking field adjacent to Cofton Church, allowing you to give the dog a bit of exercise and the chance to take a comfort break. If you run low on essentials, our site shop has a selection of dog food, toys and treats for you to stock up on.

New for 2019… our dog friendly cottages have been released on the Eastdon estate, nestled away next to 50acres of woodland and only a short walk from Dawlish warren beech… our cottages feature hard floors on the ground floor, dog bowls and blankets.

Getting out and about with your dog

There are many dog-friendly attractions within easy reach of the campsite, including beaches, pubs and walks. Dawlish Warren is two and half miles away and only takes a five minute drive to get to it (or a 45 minute walk if you want to stretch your legs). Dawlish Town beach is a little further along the coast (8 minutes by car, 45 minutes on foot). For those who really want to get out into the wild, why not take a trip to Dartmoor? There are many interesting walks for all the family, with stunning landscapes for the eyes to feast on.

What will it cost?

For touring and camping pitches, the cost of bringing a dog with you will vary. A charge is applied during high season, but it will cost you nothing to bring your dog in the low and mid seasons. For those of you who wish to stay in our superb Exe and Dart holiday homes or one of the dog friendly cottages, an additional supplement is required. However, there is no charge for bringing a registered assistance dog.

What we ask for in return

We welcome all dogs to our site, but we do ask for a couple of things in return. In interests of hygiene, we would prefer if you brought a poop-a-scoop and cleared up after your dog. We provide doggy bins for you to dispose of your dog waste and we have placed plenty of them around the site. Secondly, we also insist that all dogs must be kept on a lead while on the campsite for safety reasons.
