In the beginning BrixFest focused on the heritage and history of Brixham. After all, it owes its conception to the old Brixham Heritage Festival. Each year they strive to celebrate Brixham's past and present and this year we're going back to our roots.

BrixFest also sees the return of the very successful Dragonboat Challenge. Teams will battle it out to beat the course record. Live music, cooking demo's, crabbing, kids' day, and fireworks are all back with a blast! Don't forget it's all FREE - there's nothing to stop everyone from enjoying a great weekend of family entertainment!

Saturday 26th: Official opening at 11am with music from the Brixham Town Band. This will be followed by cooking demonstrations featuring local chefs and ingredients. The chefs will be preparing local seafood dishes and YOU can taste the final product. There'll be live music from local musicians continues into the afternoon and evening! There'll be a Grand Firework Display at 9.50pm.

Sunday 27th: The return of the annual BrixFest Dragonboat Challenge. Teams comprising of local people battle it out along the Breakwater for victory - and a chance to be crowned champions! There'll also be an Arts & Crafts market, running all day underneath The Old Fish Market.

Monday 28th: Children's Day will bring together organisations from all over Torbay and Devon on Breakwater Beach, offering local and visiting children and families the chance to engage in FREE activities throughout the day. Face painting, drama workshops, interactive trails, local acoustic live music, balloon-animal making, build-a-boat and loads more on offer. There'll also be a charity-stall mini-market.

Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th: Crabbing competition and vintage car rally!
