Cofton Cup Fishing Competition
Do you have what it takes to land the top prize in our Match fishing competition and get your name on the prestigious Cofton Cup.
The Cofton Cup Competition is exclusively open to Cofton guests and occurs twice a year.
Cofton Cup XII will take place from 14th April – 19th of April 2024
Cofton Cup XIII will take place from 6th October – 11th October 2024
Each Festival will have over £1500 in prize money on offer. The winner will get their name etched on the Cofton Cup trophy and pick up a cool £500 in prize money.
Entry to the Cofton Cup is only open to guests staying at the park and a £45 entry fee will need to be paid with your booking. Places are limited to 45 anglers per festival. Each festival consists of 3 qualifying heats, each with a maximum capacity of 15 anglers. The draw for the qualifiers will take 2 weeks before the competition begins. Entry is subject to availability with your Holiday booking.
The top 5 anglers by weight in each qualifier go through to contest the 15 peg Cofton Cup (A Final).
Anglers finishing 6th – 10th place in each qualifier will go on to compete in the Plate (B Final).
Anglers placing 11th -15th from each qualifier will go on to fish in the Spoon (C Final).
Every angler will fish twice. All matches including finals are 5 hours on their given day. A prize giving presentation will be held in The Warren Retreat on the Friday evening of each festival.

Cofton Cup day by day:
- Sunday: Qualifier 1
- Monday: Qualifier 2
- Tuesday: Qualifier 3
- Wednesday: The Spoon (C Final)
- Thursday: The Plate (B Final)
- Friday: The Cofton Cup (A Final)
- Friday Night: Presentation Ceremony and a jolly good time!

Terms and Conditions
- The Cofton cup is a 6 day event and only open to guests staying on the park for the duration of the competition. Your booking number will be required for entry to the competition
- £45.00 entry fee per angler per festival
- A valid Cofton fishing permit is required for each day fished including finals
- Anglers can only enter one qualifier per festival
- Entry fee to be paid on booking
- The competition is for over 18’s only.
- Each festival consists of 3 qualifiers a B final, C final and The final
- Anglers finishing 1 – 5 in their qualifier will go on the Cofton Cup Final
- Anglers finishing 6 – 10 in their qualifier will go on the Plate
- Anglers finishing 11 – 15 in their qualifier will go on the Spoon
- Draw for qualifiers will take place 2 weeks for the start of the competition. Entrants will be notified which qualifying day they will be fishing
- Qualifying matches will take place on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
- Finals will take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
- All matches will be 5 hours
- A prize giving presentation will take place on Friday in The Warren Retreat
- Competitors can use their own keep nets or nets can be supplied
- All entrants agree to adhere to the Cofton match rules
