30LB CARP STOCKED INTO TRUSHAM LAKE
3 new carp were stocked in to our Trusham lake including a 30lb+ fish. Mirrors weighing in at 30lb 8oz, 27lb and 25lb were stocked in November this is on top of the 9 big carp stocked in 2018. These fish have now settled in to their new home. The question is who will be the first to bank one of these stunning fish?
TENCH STOCKED INTO MAMHEAD LAKE
We stocked tench into Mamhead match lake which is a new species for the lake. 150 1-2lb fish were stocked in November. A great addition to the lake we think. These fish have been showing already in catches this year.
For the last 5 years we have treated each lake with Siltex. This is a chalk based product which aides in the breakdown of silt. Silt is very acidic, the Siltex works to neutralise this helping the lake to digest the silt. The bugs love it, the fish love the bugs everyones happy!
THE BIG FISH LIST
A great new competition for 2020 everyone can get involved in. With the big investment in the fish stocks over the last 3 years the fishery has changed significantly and with this in mind we have decided to reset all the venue records to zero. If you catch a specimen fish and have it weighed by a member of the Fishery team you can go on the Big Fish List. If you top the list for any of the species as of the 31st of December 2020 you will win a prize. An updated Big Fish List will be released in the Cofton fishing news each month.
- Rudd (including Golden Rudd)
- Common carp
- Mirror carp

RIGS, TIPS AND PRESENTATIONS EXPLAINED
The PVA mesh stick is a great presentation for winter but is effective the whole year through. This presentation is tangle free with the added benefit of concealing your hooklength under a pile of bait. This is one way to fish it but you can adapt it to suit you.
